International Student Exchanges
The University of Hawai‘i College of Business encourages students to enhance
their academic learning through an international experience by participating
in the student exchange program. The College has a number of exchange
agreements with well-known universities throughout Europe and Asia, providing
its students the opportunity to learn from the best professors in the world.
In most cases, students can make academic progress towards degree requirements
and therefore may not need to extend their planned graduation date. A number
of scholarships are also available.
Eligibility:
Undergraduate applicants should have a GPA of 2.5 or better; graduate student
applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 or better. Interested students should
talk to their academic advisors to determine the best timing for their
semester abroad, and the courses that they should take at the host
institution.
Application Information:
The student exchange program is managed by the Pacific Asian Management
Institute (PAMI). Deadline for application is March 1 for the summer and
fall semesters, and September 1 for the spring semester. Students going on
exchange will pay tuition at UH College of Business, but need not pay tuition
at the host institution. Application materials are available at the PAMI
office at BusAd A303.
PACIBER Diploma:
The PACIBER Diploma is a unique educational experience for business students
focusing on the Asia-Pacific region. It builds on the degree requirements of
the 30 PACIBER member universities by requiring multiple language competency,
study abroad and an internship in a foreign or multinational company. Qualified
students will be selected based on academic record, language ability and
adaptability to other cultures. Upon completion of their degrees, students will
also receive the PACIBER Diploma which demonstrates their ability to excel in an
