Mission Statement
The
Pacific Asian Management Institute (PAMI) serves as a driving force for
internationalization and global recognition of the University of Hawaii
College of Business Administration. As such, PAMI aspires to become the
premier source of international business and management expertise with
a focus on the Asia-Pacific Region.
PAMI
achieves its mission by:
- Creating
synergy between academic programs, research and executive education,
and other resources within the University to configure a unique set
of core competencies which establish the University of Hawai'i CBA as
the premier institution focusing on Asia-Pacific business and management.
- Participating
in the development and implementation of first rate academic programs.
- Promoting
international research and faculty development.
- Disseminating
state of the art expertise to the academic community and to executives,
corporations and the local community.
- Forging
international strategic alliances and linkages which promote the expertise
of faculty and students commensurate with its position as a leading
institution in the field.
- Generating
financial resources through grants, training programs, and similar activities,
allowing the development of a first rate international faculty which
brings its knowledge and experience to the classroom and to executive
development.
- Utilizing
PAMI as a brand which is associated globally with excellence in Asia-focused
international business education and research, capitalizing on its unique
name as an asset in marketing international programs, publications and
teaching materials of the UH CBA.
